Open to all breeds as allowable by AHBA.

Entries limited to 50 runs per judge.

Test/Trial Hours: 7:00AM - 1 hour after the last run.

Courses Offered:

HTD Sheep                          $55/entry

HTAD Sheep                       $55/entry

JHD Sheep                          $45/entry

Judges:

Linda Rorem - Saturday

Peggy Richter - Sunday

HTAD will be Course #3.

All entries must be received, mail or online, by October 22, 2023.

Preference will be given to entries made for Beaucerons up until the entry deadline.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. The Trial Program and Junior Herding Dog Program are open to all dogs 9 months of age or older. The Herding Capability Test Program is open to herding breeds and multipurpose breeds with herding background on the list at the end of the Test Program rules, six months of age and older.
  2.  Spayed bitches and neutered dogs may participate.
  3. Bitches in heat may take part.  In trial classes, bitches in heat need not wait until all other dogs have participated. In test classes, bitches in heat must wait until all other dogs have participated.
  4. Dogs must be sound and in good health.  Any dog which appears to be unfit will be removed at the judge’s discretion; examples are:  lameness, injury, illness, advanced pregnancy.
  5. Owners of participating dogs need not be members of any club or organization.
  6. A dog owned or co-owned by the judge or any member of the judge’s immediate family or household may not be evaluated by that judge, nor may a judge evaluate a dog of which that judge has been the owner, co-owner or primary trainer/handler within the last six months.

Qualifying Run……………………...Green Ribbon

1st - 4th Place……………………….Blue, Red, Yellow or White Ribbon

High in Trial………………………...Blue, Red, Yellow & White Large Rosette

Reserve High in Trial ………………Red, Yellow & White Medium Rosette

Additional herding-themed trophies will be provided for the following:

High in Trial

Reserve High in Trial

High Scoring Beauceron in Trial

New Title rosettes available for all new titles earned, please request at the secretary’s desk.

Herding Trial Champion rosettes available to those completing their championship at the trial. You must let the secretary know with your entry if you hope to achieve this at the trial.

Self Contained Camping is available at the site beginning Friday evening. Please email Caitlin for information.
