Detection Dog Trials is a new sport being brought to North America which allows formally trained detection dogs to participate in scentwork style competitions. Teams are able to trial on the odor their dog is already trained on (i.e. narcotics, accelarants, cadaver, etc.) and gain titles and awards.

Tier 1 (normal time): Birch, Clove, Gun oil, Truffle oil, Catnip, Cannabis, Scentlogix, Pseudo
Tier 2 (+2 minutes): Tobacco, Cadaver, Kong, Conservation, Narcotics-Except Cannabis, TNT, Gasoline/Diesel
Tier 3 (+4 minutes): Pyro, Digital Hardware, Gluten, Cash, Explosives-Except TNT, Bed Bugs.

See how your dog stacks up compared to the competition and get a feel for how DDT trials run. There will be no awards or points toward titles but scores and placements will be given. Come see what DDT is all about and get advice on how to prepare for the first real DDT in the United States.
